Brief Bio
Dr. Francisco J. Perales is a senior researcher in the area of computer graphics and vision, human computer interaction and neurorehabilitation. He obtained his BS and MS in computer science at the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1986. In 1993 he obtained a Master of Digital Image Processing at the UAB. He received a Ph. D. degree in Computer Science at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB) in 1993. In 2013 he obtained a Master of Medicine at the UIB. He is currently pursuing a second Ph.D. in neurorehabilitation using serious games and biofeedback. He is a full professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at UIB (2017) and head of the Computer Graphics and Vision Group and Artificial Intelligence of UIB. He is an IEEE senior member (1995-2019). He was a visitant professor at University of Tübingen at the Institute for Medical Psychology and Behavioural Neurobiology.

Brief Bio
Adrian Muscat holds the position of associate professor at the Department of Communications and Computer Engineering, University of Malta. He received the Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from Queen Mary University of London in 2002, the M.Sc. Degree in RF and Microwave Engineering from the University of Bradford in 1996, and the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malta, 1993. His current research interests are in computer vision and image understanding, with special emphasis on detecting spatial relations in images and video and their application in robotics, autonomous vehicles and assisted living.

SCOPE

The goal of this workshop is to promote interaction and collaboration among researchers working in the areas covered by the workshop. A study of the human body using computer technologies as the main tool is the unifying theme of the workshop. The AMDO 2020 workshop offers a great opportunity to encourage collaboration between researchers in the areas of computer vision, computer graphics, advanced multimedia applications and human multimodal interfaces that share common problems and frequently use similar techniques or tools.

PAPER SUBMISSION

Papers should describe original and unpublished work on the above or closely related topics. All submissions will be made in pdf format. Papers are limited to ten pages, in the LNCS format, and should include the title, a 150-word abstract, keywords and the main body. All submitted papers will be subjected to a blind review by at least two members of the program committee. It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure anonymity (no names and affiliation) of their submission. Please submit your paper electronically through the VISIGRAPP website, using the PRIMORIS system. We must receive your paper before December 23th, 2019, 17:00 GMT (London time).

PUBLICATION

The accepted papers will be published in a LNCS Springer-Verlag series volume or in a special Issue in the Pattern Recognition Journal. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors of accepted papers to register for the workshop at the full registration rate, and to present their communication at the workshop.
